New Regulations For IMO To Shanghai

Our agent informed us that, due to the recent accident at Tianjin Port, Chinese Authorities have implemented new instructions regarding shipments of dangerous goods to Shanghai Port.

Please comply with the following revised regulations:

1. All cargoes must be accompanied by a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) in the Chinese language. For acceptance purposes we will also require same in English language.

2. Label each individual packaging, containing dangerous goods, with a Chinese label including:

– Commercial product name
– UN-Number
– Composition / concentration
– GHS Label
– First Aid and emergency disposal methods
– Emergency contact person & phone number.

3. Shipper must paste correct DG labels on their cargo before sending into stuffing warehouse.

Failure to comply to the above requirements will result in non-acceptance of the consignment for exportation to Shanghai.

HS-CODE Mandatory For Shipments To Doha / Qatar

Please be informed that with immediate effect, Qatar customs authorities require H.S.CODE to be mentioned on the HB/L for shipments to Doha.
If HB´s/L are not issued properly, this might cause customs penalties. Please comply accordingly to ensure smooth clearance and cargo delivery.

China Customs Advance Manifest / Documentation Deadline

With immediate effect, China customs require an electronic cargo manifest for all shipments to the following Chinese ports:

Shanghai (as already announced ealier)
Xingang
Dalian
Qingdao
Ningbo

The electronic manifest must be sent no later than 24 hours prior to vessels loading.
Important: To ensure timely data submission, documentation deadline will be same as cargo closing. Amendments after this deadline on request only.

Port closure – ADEN

Please note that the Port of Aden is temporarily closed. Below you find the notification from our agent:

In view of the recent developments in Yemen, it has been given to understand that Ports and Shipping Offices in Aden are temporarily closed.
Carriers have discharged all Aden containers at Jeddah, Djibouti and Sudan. Same will be on-forwarded to Aden only once the situation is back to normal. This will result in to enormous delay in releasing the shipments which are transhipped or yet to be transhipped ex. Jebel Ali.Hodeidah port is functional. No issues reported in Hodeidah so far.
